UNDER THE ASH TREE

In this project, I am documenting the journey of my friends Renata and Jiří, who decided to leave behind their consumerist lifestyle and pursue their dream of being part of a society where everyone is equal and lives in harmony with nature. Renata gave up her well-paid corporate job to join Jiří, who was already living in Camphill. The Camphill Movement is an international initiative for social change based on the principles of anthroposophy. They fell in love and decided to start their own Camphill community on a former JZD (a collective farm from socialist Czechoslovakia). Alongside other like-minded individuals, they initiated a project called Ash Tree in the South Moravian Region in Velké Hostěrádky, where they grow vegetables using biodynamic agriculture methods and provide a safe environment for people with special needs.
